YOD Gallery is proud to present “As the Intricate Key Turns: Works from an Archipelago,” featuring 18 talented artists from the Philippines. The exhibition includes the works of AR Manalo, Art De Leon, Billie Jean, Clairelynn Uy, Dale Bagtas, Dex Fernandez, Epjey Pacheco, Franz “Nano” Vocalan, Iggy Rodriguez, John Loyd Benz De Leon, Kadin Tiu, Kendall Colindon, Lynyrd Paras, Mejalosa, Ronald Caringal, Sonny Tolentino, Taichi Kondo, and Winna Go.

Curated by Carlomar Arcangel Daoana (Curator, Art writer and published poet based in Manila, Philippines), the exhibition reveals the lush, complex, and multi-layered forms and images that constitute some of the best examples of Philippine art. It captures the intermingling of influences, cultures, and visual histories that define the contemporary moment. From pop art surrealist pieces to works inspired by graffiti and street art, to politically-inflected realist paintings, the exhibition registers the vibrant and deeply felt tidal shifts in how Filipino artists articulate their worlds within the global reality.

The show will be on view starting on August 10 and run until the 31st.

We hope you will take this opportunity to visit this exhibition.
